My Name is Jeff Roman and I am a 63 year old avid outdoorsman and minister. My fifteen minutes of fame came in 2005 when I won the Illinois eight man state bass federation tournament. My best friend and wife of 30 years is Jean. I am also the Father to Heath, and a Grandfather to Grayson and Vinny. I have been in the retail food service for 45 years. I have been owner of Hometown Catering since 1984. The Gathering Place in Atkinson, Illinois is the new venue I own and operate.
I am not a holy roller(you will not see a Bible in one hand and me reciting scripture, even though I will be glad to talk about God with you if you ask). I scratch, swear, drink(hence the highlife) and I sin, as I am human(and a male). God is not all about the good he is also for us, the ones that need him the most. Remember God is for all and he is always there for you during your highs and lows. You just have to take that first step towards the relationship.
When I am not at work or bothering my wife, I am out trying to figure how to catch the next limit of bass, preferably Smallies!!!! A few words of advice, spend it in learning Gods word and helping your fellow man. Volunteering is also good for the soul.
And above all I am a Christian!
